You should hear a pulsing with a “shhhhh” sound in the background (remember to burn the recordings to a CD (each) or play them on a MP3 player or iPod with the ability to place each track in a separate playlist so you do not play more than one in a row as a break is needed for optimal results.

Computers generally don’t have the proper sound reproduction range necessary or the stability of timing to play the recordings.

That being said, much of the change happens automatically and might not even get noticed so much by “you” until others point it out to you. I am currently unaware of any research on the topic of brainwave entrainment s effects in animals. I would expect that if they have ears and a brain that
Entrainment in animals may occur.

What I would suggest is watch your pets reaction, if they look fine, they are… if they don’t then its better not to play it when they are in the room or to
use headphones.

I have recently came across some data which suggests that animals like cats and dogs, among others can have better sleep if the listen to BWE for some
time during the day…

The trick is to stay with a single brainwave pattern (that means that “spot” and “boots” may not like dual brainwave recordings.). Of course you can try it and simply watch and if there is an adverse reaction remove the pet from the room.

Oh, one more thing… don’t try to make your pet wear headphones, ok:?)

The subliminal aspect is embedded at a very high frequency and this might prove uncomfortable for your pets.

What I would suggest is watch your pets reaction, if they look fine, they are… if they don’t then its better not to play it when they are in the room.

It’s probably a good idea to leave the door open, and your pet can always leave if it’s not comfortable.

The Question of how long to listen to TMM recordings systems overall is certainly a good one.

Unfortunately the answer is not very easy. Every person is of course different. Coupled with this is the fact that no two people will be starting, or want to end up at the “same place” in their psycho neurological development.

It becomes clear that each individuals experience will by necessity be different.

That being said, we have noticed that many people simply decide to use it almost everyday (that’s what I do, for others there tends to be a point somewhere between 3 months to a year where people find that they are pretty much well on their way and only use TMM once or twice a week, essentially to maintain the results. Again, your results will vary, but you will get results!

I understand you might be having some doubts and I think this can help.

I would also suggest that every morning when you wake up you should write down each affirmation on a piece of paper 3 times each, then take the paper and put it somewhere where you are likely to see it at least a few times during the day (ie. Your wallet, on your desk, the dash of your car, etc).

In the normal configuration the left ear is Alpha (slower) (affecting the right hemisphere of the brain) and the right ear is Beta (faster) (affecting the left hemisphere of the brain).

So if you play the recording to the 7-10 minute mark and listen to the different sides of your headphones the slower pulsing will be the left earpiece and the faster one will be the right one.

You do not need to pay attention while listening, this being said it will normally be more effective to listen while sitting with head support or lying down and with your eyes closed so as to limit outside stimulation which can compete with the recordings.

By repeatedly challenging dysfunctional thinking patterns and changing them through cognitive restructuring and Cognitive Behavior Therapy Psychologists are effectively reprogramming neuronal firing patterns.

Actually Theta is the state where most children exist in (why they learn easier than adults) and is also where LTP (long term potentiation) mostly occurs. This is important as it is needed for memory formation and thus learning.

Listen to “Neural Synergy” while studying (its fine to listen without headphones if you like, and not too loud).

Long term potentiation can be defined as a long lasting increase in synaptic effectiveness which follows from high frequency of stimulation of afferent fibers. Although LTP occurs throughout the nervous system, it’s focus has mainly been in the hippocampus which is involved in the formation of certain memories. Furthermore, LTP has been found to occur in not only the mammalian brain but also in other vertebrates such as the goldfish, bullfrog, bird and lizard. Characteristics of LTP commonly associates it with memory storage, especially in the Hebbian descriptions of memory formation. The idea behind this is consistent with what a memory mechanism should and can possess. Donald Hebb wrote, “When an axon of cell A…excites cell B and repeatedly takes part in firing it, some growth process or metabolic change takes place in one or more cells so that A ‘s efficiency as one of the cells firing B is increased” Thus, memory is likely to involve a strengthening of synaptic activity. This “Hebb’s rule closely resembles the definition of LTP in that learning is accompanied by an increase in the efficiency of communication between neurons.

I think its always a good idea to consult with medical professionals whenever you wish to try something new and you have a current related condition. That being said you may want to refer this individual to some of this information so that they can make an educated and informed decision.

Regarding Migraines…

In 1989, D. J. Anderson, of Queen Elizabeth Military Hospital, performed work on the treatment of migraine headaches. All seven subjects in the experiment experienced one or more migraine related symptoms such as: aura, photo phobia or periodic vomiting. No subject had satisfactory results using drugs. Higher and more prolonged levels of cortisol in the bloodstream (like those associated with chronic stress) have been shown to have negative effects, such as:

●Impaired cognitive performance
●Suppressed thyroid function
●Blood sugar imbalances such as hyperglycemia
●Decreased bone density
●Decrease in muscle tissue
●Higher blood pressure

Lowered immunity and inflammatory responses in the body, as well as other health consequences increased abdominal fat, which is associated with a greater amount of health problems than fat deposited in other areas of the body. Some of the health problems associated with increased stomach fat are heart attacks, strokes, the development of , higher levels of “bad” cholesterol (LDL) and lower levels of “good” cholesterol (HDL), which can lead to other health problems!

To keep cortisol levels healthy and under control, the body’s relaxation response should be activated after the fight or flight response occurs. You can learn to relax your body with various stress management techniques, and you can make lifestyle changes in order to keep your body from reacting to stress in the first place.

Brainwave entrainment works on the principle of vibration. There is also the fact that there is likely to be a sympathetic reaction between the hemispheres of your brain.

This means that as long as there is “connected tissue” in the path from your ear(s) to the brain then the vibration
From the sound alone (which would travel that path) should allow brainwave entrainment to occur even if you cannot “hear” it. At this point, I think the best thing would be to try our product out and see for yourself if there will be positive benefits for you.

As brainwave entrainment can affect brain chemistry we sometimes suggest that people with unusual circumstances contact their health providers to confirm that “deep meditation” techniques would not be a
problem to use.

Things like lowered blood pressure (immediately after use) and the dredging up of old and buried/repressed
issues may occur and we just want to be careful. If you want you could always start of slowly – Listen
without headphones and quietly and see how you do and then work your way up from there.

I usually like to re-run a session from the beginning if I have been interrupted. What really matters though is how far you have been taken away from the “feeling” or state that you were in.

If you manage to stay in the zone as it were then simply continue where you left off. If not its best to start over.

I’m sure it would be OK but as I’m not a doctor and I am not allowed to give medical advice, this is what I suggest.

Ask your doctor if deep meditation would be OK for you. BWE can change brain chemistry and as such your doctors opinion would be valuable.

TMM recordings may be used with children.

“Eden Energy Wave Dynamics” as well as “Digital Coffee” could prove helpful for hyperactivity type behavior.

While studying it would be better to have Neural Synergy playing over speakers just loud enough to hear.

How old should a child be before using BWE? The general rule of thumb is 8yrs old. I personally have never used it with anyone younger so I cannot suggest it but if you monitor them closely for their reactions it should be fine as low as 6.

I would suggest staying away from Good Night Sleep Well in the early years as the child needs to go through the development of their own sleep cycles and GNSW was designed for a mature sleep cycle (ie. Teen to adult).

We’re currently working on a recording specifically designed to work with ADD/ADHD children and adults.

Regarding your child being 4 years old… If you monitor your child carefully and do not use headphones then you can try playing Digital Coffee and if that does not help Neural Synergy in an ambient (no headphones) manner.

We have never tried QMP with TMM on people younger than 8 years of age, so be watchful. Children are exposed to various frequencies all the time so I believe the worst case scenario will be simply no effect.

I want to state clearly now that this is just my opinion and any action you take, you do so without my express suggestion (don’t you just love the law)

It is mainly the size of the difference between the peaks and valleys in the waveform that determines how strong the CER (cortical evoked response – the brains reaction to the stimulus and ultimately the level of brainwave (entrainment) will be.

“On paper”, Isochronics are the “strongest”, and monaurals are “smoothest”.

Isochronic are square shaped pulses (the pulses are completely separated), monaural ramp up and down from
each other joining at the bottom, it is a smoother transition….

The two patterns have a different feel for different people and research shows that entrainment is likely to be much better if you “like” the sounds as much as possible. This means that if you like Monaural better than Isochronic then it is likely that the Monaurals will produce better entrainment, even though Isochronics are “stronger”.

So in the end, all that really matters is which recordings sound best to you as they are the ones that will be more likely to have the most beneficial effects for you… Its that simple.

Many people struggle to learn to read because of Dyslexia. Dyslexia is a language based learning disability and is often severe enough to prevent children to succeed academically. Dyslexia is not simply a reversal of letters, as is a commonly held definition. Dyslexia means that the brain is not processing the material in a way which allows you to read. Treatment for language and reading impairments by speech therapists and reading specialists is often a
slow, long, expensive and frustrating experience.

Reports received since 1994 indicate that brainwave entrainment may help with learning disabilities, specifically dyslexia and slow reading development, both of which have as an underlying cause a disparity of errors in timing between the two hemispheres.

As one researcher reported in The Brain-Mind Bulletin:”While reading, most good readers have left-hemisphere activity in the beta range (around 13 Hz) and midrange amplitude. Dyslexics, on the other hand, tend to have left hemisphere measurements in Alpha (roughly 10 Hz) and higher than average amplitudes, although some have unusually low amplitude.

The cerebellum of dyslexics has not yet ‘learned’ the co-ordination and timing involved in internal balance of the body.

What is it about brainwave entrainment that can be so helpful to those with ADD and dyslexia? I believe that it is the whole-brain entrainment that occurs from properly engineered brainwave entrainment tones. It seems to help co-ordinate the flow of beta brainwaves in both hemispheres, the side-to-side effect is accompanied by a front-to-back stimulation and then a top-down process integrating the cortex with the limbic brain where our emotions are triggered.

It is the disparity of beta-brainwave patterns in the slower left-hemisphere, which leads to lack of attention to certain aspects of the environment, such as reading, writing and mathematics.

Michael Tansey used a brainwave entrainment protocol to increase 11 – 19hz brainwaves in people suffering from
Dyslexia and other learning disorders, reporting a 19 point average increase in IQ.

The TMM systems have been designed to positively affect the brain, allowing for brain states to be created that can positively affect and benefit the brain and its processing ability.

We suggest stationary exercises are best suited to use with QMP recordings.

The reason for this is that you may go into altered states and we do not want you to walk into a wall, or traffic .

You should experiment to find the best way for you. The general rule is that if it feels good and you enjoy it then it’s a good time.

I would suggest that you listen to recordings like Digital Coffee and Eden Energy Wave Dynamics in the morning as they are quicker frequency recordings and recordings like Neural Synergy and the meditations later in the day.

The TMM process uses some very subtle but effective techniques that will most definitely be canceled out if you use any degree of “noise canceling” technology.

As such I strongly suggest setting your headphones to any “normal” setting they may have.

If you are uncertain as to what this setting might be then I suggest contacting the manufacturer and asking them.

“Digital Coffee” is designed to give you a similar boost to that which you get from coffee, without the caffeine. This would include things like alertness and energy. This is recording is not designed to give long term benefits (except for lowering your caffeine intake.

This is because I really do not know what they are trying to accomplish or how they are trying to do it, And as such I suspect that their product may interfere with the effects of ours (and possibly ours, theirs… as well).

I suggest that you stop using the other product While you give TMM a fair shot and then once you have decided which you like best you should stick with that one.

Caffeine does all kinds of things to your system (most of it not good;).

The caffeine contained in a few cups of coffee can triple the frequency of fast brain waves called gamma rhythms, according to research presented at the December 2006 annual meeting of the Physiological Society in England.

Thus I suspect an energy drink would do at least this and probably more.

As a result I would not suggest being under the influence of an energy drink when using TMM as it would be counter productive to the frequencies we are entraining the brain at, and would essentially void out the beneficial effects.

Do not be concerned if you fall asleep while listening as you do not need to be conscious for these recordings to
be effective as they take advantage of something called the frequency following response which is activated by
the sound, not your conscious awareness of it.

There is an inherent problem with adding background music or any other sounds for that matter.

The main entrainment frequencies are presented in a professionally mastered environment which does not
allow for errors. Each time you hear a click or pop on a recording it is actually interfering with the entrainment process.

You need at least 6 full minutes at any desired frequency to allow the brain to entrain to it (This is called the frequency following response). Any unwanted sounds that occur during presentation of the main tone actually get in the way of the entrainment process.

This holds true for all background “noises” or “soundscapes” or “music” that others may place in their recordings. It’s like listening to a person speak. When there is only one person talking you have no problem understanding, or at least hearing them. As you add (people talking) to the equation, it becomes harder and harder to understand what the original person is saying. It’s the same thing with brainwave entrainment. Too many frequencies equal more signals getting in the way of, and disrupting the brainwave entrainment process.

Our background is a relative of “pink noise”, its actually a combination of specific frequencies that when combined produce a uniform (steady and consistent) background that effectively cancels out much of the distracting noise that may be present when “running a session”. It is also designed to help ease the entrainment process, not work against it.

These recordings are designed to work regardless of your conscious state while listening/hearing them.

As a result you can think about whatever you are inspired to think, or nothing at all. Whichever you feel inspired to do.

A human being has about 100 billion brain cells. Although different neurons fire at different speeds, as a rough estimate it Is reasonable to estimate that a neuron can fire about once every 5 milliseconds, or about 200 times a second. The number Of cells each neuron is connected to also varies, but as a rough estimate it is reasonable to say that each neuron connects To 1000 other neurons- so every time a neuron fires, about 1000 other neurons get information about that firing.

If we Multiply all this out we get 100 billion neurons X 200 firings per second X 1000 connections per firing = 20 million billion Calculations per second.as such it’s not unreasonable to assume it can process the approximately 2 million statement we are Sending to it subliminally in 1 hour.

The characteristics of all recordings are geared specifically to the needs of them so levels of volume and mixing methods will by necessity always be different for all recordings.

You cannot loop any of our brainwave recordings, especially when you go to sleep.

You see, you need to go through a series of sleep cycles during sleep (this naturally incorporates alpha, theta, delta and even some beta and by looping our BWE recordings you can easily disrupt the natural flow of this and harm your sleep.

As such you can only listen once when you go to sleep.

It is OK however to listen again if you awake during the night.

#1 has affirmations only, #2 has affirmations in the center and hypnosis and meditation in the right and left ear.

Some people do better with affirmations only and others do better with the hypnosis and meditation aspect. Still some do better with both options.

We have included both so as to give you the best possibility of success.

As long as the pother product does Not have a brainwave entrainment aspect, then I feel it can work Fine for you.

Many people use TMM products with other (non-brainwave based) Products and find that it actually augments the effects

The best thing to do would be to ask your doctor if this technology would be good for you. (if they do not know about it you can ask about deep meditation)

I can send him/her a research list if they like.

In my experience, many people have either cut down or eliminated their anti-depressant us by using the TMM systems. Of course if you do try it and feel uncomfortable then stop immediately.
